I wanted to show you what I’m working so you can see how list building actually looks in real time. This isn’t part of the official training yet of the list building path in the classroom but think of it as a bonus resource / case study.
I’m in the middle of launching my next book, and I realized I needed to build a fresh lead magnet to pull new readers off Amazon and into my world. Amazon owns the customer, but when we collect names + emails, those become our jars to pour into. That’s how we multiply our oil.
Here’s the simple flow I built (took me about 15 minutes with templates 👇):
- Cover + Lead Magnet → I used AI to merge two of my book covers into one, then added text for a bonus readers can claim.
- Opt-In Fields → Name (required), email (required), phone number (optional). Collecting first names makes your emails more personal!
- Thank You Page → As soon as they opt in, they get their bonus, plus a button to preorder the new book.
- Workflow → I attached the “Bridge Funnel Workflow” from Affiliate Bootcamp, tweaked the delay, and modeled the emails for my story using ChatGPT.
- Email Sequence → There are 7–10 emails. I’ll send the bonus right away, then keep following up so readers see me multiple times (it takes most people 7+ touches before they buy).
✨ And here’s the key: in the back matter of my books, I’ll point readers to this bonus. That way when they finish reading, they’re invited into my VIP list and future launches.
