As I continue reading in Nehemiah Chapter 2, I wanted to share something else I noticed. Nehemiah’s heart posture when it came to making requests from God. 1. Nehemiah first sought the face of God. (Matthew 7:7-8) 2. He was not anxiously moving through his circumstances. He went directly to the one who has all the answers. (Philippians 4:6-7) 3. He waited for direction, and a course of action. (Jeremiah 33:3) 4. He was specific when making his request to the King. He didn’t leave anything out. (Nehemiah 2:7-8) 5. He was rewarded for his posture, approach and follow-through. (Psalm 37:4-7) I love this because it gives us actionable steps to how we can approach God in prayer. We abide in him, so our hearts desires are transformed to reflect His will. We wait for clarity and direction before making random moves. We approach our King boldly making our requests, and follow through with what he has told us to do; obedience. Then comes victory! I pray we all see victory in every area of our lives as we walk in boldness and obedience, waiting for our Lords instructions. I love you but God loves you more 💕!
