challenged us to find $100 this week and I'm going to share every time I "find" some money! 1 - We try to cook at home as much as possible, but it isn't uncommon for us to grab one meal out during the week. This week I'm committed to every meal at home. I'm going to call this a $40 savings.
2 - I have to go to Physical Therapy three times a week as part of my broken leg/surgery recovery. It is across the street from a coffee shop and once a week I've stopped and grabbed coffee for us on my way home. This week I'll skip the coffee and just make it at home. Saving $10.
3 - I typically buy our meat and seafood at Costco every couple months, wrap individual servings, and keep it in the freezer. When I'm meal planning I try to pay attention to what's in the freezer and pantry, but some weeks I end up choosing fresh meat or seafood at the store...but this week I carefully meal planned so all I needed from the store was fresh produce, tortillas, and cheese. I also checked the store app for any sales they were having, so I did grab two yogurts with $1.50 coupon, and a buy one get one free ice cream - because who can resist that! I'm saying I found $10 since my grocery list utilized what we already had on hand.
So far, I've "found" $60 by choosing not to spend it and using what we have at home!
