Community Guidelines: Building a Place for Growth
Before we get too far down the road together, I want to take a moment to establish the spirit and purpose of this community. Every healthy community has a culture. Without one, conversations drift, distractions creep in, and the purpose slowly gets lost. My goal here is to create a place that feels different from the rest of the internet — a place where people can actually grow. The Faith to Freedom Community is built around a simple conviction: spiritual growth happens when God’s Word is studied intentionally and when believers encourage one another along the way. The Bible reminds us, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together… but encouraging one another.” — Epistle to the Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV) This community exists to live that out in a practical way. You’ll notice this space is intentionally quieter than most social platforms. That’s by design. We’re stepping away from the endless noise and constant scrolling that tends to fill our days. Instead, we’re creating room for thoughtful conversation, careful study of Scripture, and genuine encouragement. At the heart of what I do is a simple mission: If you feel like you’re just going through the motions in your walk with God, I’ll help you step into spiritual freedom so you can walk boldly, live with confidence, and pursue what God has placed in your heart. Everything in this community will point in that direction. To help keep this space healthy and meaningful, here are a few expectations that will guide how we interact together. First, God’s Word will be our foundation. Our discussions will center around Scripture and how it applies to everyday life. Opinions are plentiful on the internet, but what we truly need is truth. Second, respect and encouragement will define our conversations. This is a place for believers and seekers alike. People will be at different places in their journey, and that’s perfectly fine. Our goal is to lift one another up, not win arguments.

Welcome to Faith to Freedom Community
I’m truly glad you’re here. We live in a time where everyone seems to be talking at once. Social media has become a constant stream of opinions, arguments, and distractions. It can feel like standing in the middle of a crowded marketplace where everyone is shouting and very few people are actually listening. Spiritual growth rarely happens in the middle of noise. Growth happens when we slow down, open the Scriptures, and give God’s Word the time and attention it deserves. That’s the heart behind this community. The Faith to Freedom Community is meant to be a place where we step away from the clutter and give ourselves to something far more valuable — a structured and disciplined study of God’s Word, shared in the company of others who want to grow. Scripture reminds us: “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.” — Book of Psalms 1:2 (ESV) Real transformation doesn’t usually happen through quick inspiration or a few scattered verses. It happens through steady exposure to truth — reading, thinking, discussing, and applying Scripture together over time. That’s what we’re building here. This community is built around three simple ideas: A disciplined study of Scripture, because God’s Word shapes the heart and mind. A genuine community of believers and seekers, because faith was never meant to be walked out alone. And a quiet space free from the clutter of typical social media, where conversations can actually be meaningful and encouraging. A quick word about me. My name is Don Kelly. I’m a retired pastor and the founder of Faith to Freedom. Over many years in ministry and counseling, I’ve had the privilege of walking with people through many seasons of life. My passion has always been helping people discover the freedom and clarity that come from living in alignment with God’s truth. My heart behind this work can be summed up this way: If you feel like you’re just going through the motions in your walk with God, I’ll help you step into spiritual freedom so you can walk boldly, live with confidence, and pursue what God has placed in your heart.

Friday is tough but Sunday is Coming
Few moments in Scripture feel heavier than the cry of Jesus from the cross. In Matthew 27:46, Jesus cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” In that moment, He carried the weight of sin, suffering, and separation so that we could be brought near to God. What’s powerful is this—Jesus understands human pain completely. He understands grief, loneliness, rejection, exhaustion, and moments that feel unbearably dark. That means when you walk through difficult seasons, you are not praying to a distant Savior who cannot relate. Jesus knows what suffering feels like. And yet even in His anguish, Jesus still cried out to the Father. That’s a reminder for us: when life feels confusing or painful, don’t run from God. Cry out to Him honestly. Faith is not pretending everything is fine. Faith is continuing to reach for God even in the middle of the struggle. Some of the deepest moments of spiritual growth happen when we learn to trust God even when we do not fully understand what He is doing. If you’re walking through a hard season right now, hold on. God has not abandoned you. Friday was painful—but resurrection morning was coming.
