Truth:
Life with God starts with dependence, not self-sufficiency.
Micro-Teaching:
Most of us wake up already carrying responsibility. Work needs attention, problems need solving, people need help, and before long it feels like life is something we have to hold together through effort. That pressure can quietly shape the way we think about everything, including our relationship with God.
But the Bible keeps returning to a simpler truth. God is the source of life, and we are the ones receiving it. The Christian life does not begin with proving ourselves capable; it begins with learning to live from what God provides. Dependence is not weakness in Scripture. It is simply the honest recognition that life was never meant to be self-generated.
Practice:
Take a moment today to pause and acknowledge before God that you are receiving life from Him. Let that recognition slow you down and remind you that you do not have to manufacture everything on your own.
Reflection:
Where do you most feel the pressure to rely entirely on your own strength?
Word of the Day:
Dependence — the creaturely posture of receiving life, wisdom, and strength from God rather than attempting to generate it ourselves.
