Good Mornin'
Gooood Mornin', and don't forget to 'Let The Good Times Roll' today, my friends!!! At one time, Fat Tuesday was such an incredibly huge day at our restaurant, Boudreau's in Charlottesville, back in the late '90's!!! We'd always have a Cajun/Zydeco band playing. Bar and wait staff dressed up and handing out beads to customers!!! We became a very big deal for years there. Unparalleled comraderie among our staff back then. We were a restaurant in the front, and a dance club in the back. What I truly miss was the food. Crawfish, Shrimp Creole, Jambalaya, and alligator etoufee!!! The Creole culture was something I embraced immediately as it was introduced to me by my partner and friend, Allen Powell, who hailed from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was something else. Lol, he probably thinks the same about me, to be honest. I hope I can find somewhere offering some of this kind of celebrating tonight. I could really use some GOOD Jambalaya, some Zydeco music, and some folks my age that haven't forgot how to 'Let The Good Times Roll!!! Enjoy YOUR day, no matter what you do!!!
