Sin crouches before every one of us. What will you do?
Genesis 4:7 "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it."
This if God talking to Cain after he offers his sacrifice that is not the best, and therefore not pleasing to God. Earlier it talks about how Cains face was downcast, as though he was already contemplating the murder of his brother. God knows this and gives Cain a game plan.
This just seems so real. The fact that sin is litarily crouching at our door 24/7 just waiting for an opportunity to breach our gates. Gods advice is quite inspiring. It is not "hope sin does not overtake you" or "ignore the sin before you". The command is to RULE over the sin that inevitably crouches before everyone at any given time.
Rule over sin with an iron fist!
