Sharing the Gospel
I’m currently reading 2 Corinthians. When I first came to Jesus I thought sharing the gospel was stating the gospel to individuals. Although this is true I have found it’s not the only (or most effective) way.
2 Corinthians 4 3-4
If our gospel does not penetrate the veil, then the veil is on those who are not on the way to salvation; the unbelievers whose minds the god of this world has blinded, to stop them seeing the light shed by the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Paul is comparing unsaved people to a bride who still has the veil on. The light (Jesus Christ) is what penetrates the veil and causes people to lift their own veil. This is the free will which we have been given however God sheds his light freely. Our conversations are ineffective if we do not let Christ lead and be in our words and our actions.
