I wanted to talk about what meditation really is (and what it isnât): not a one-minute technique to optimize your busy life, and not a tool for chasing specific experiences. I share how I started with Transcendental Meditation at 19 to escape suffering and seek enlightenment, and how my first enlightenment teacher reframed meditation in the most helpful wayâespecially the idea that half of our being resides outside space and time.
Why sustained practice (ideally an hour a day, consistently) creates real change by giving access to deeper stillness, balance, intuition, creativity, and a direct connection to peace and what I call your true selfâconnected with God and unmoving.
