Day 3 - Controlling how you feel
Confidence is not just in your head, it lives in your body.
A tense, stressed body blocks calm, control, and connection with your horse.
Exercise:
  • Breathe in through your nose
  • Exhale slowly through your mouth, longer than the inhale (watch the video on controlling your breath)
  • Drop your shoulders and soften your jaw
  • Ground through your feet or seat in the saddle
Action: Practise this reset before riding next or before moments of visibility.

  • When did I notice tension or stress in my body?
  • How did I regulate my body?
