When you think it’s healthy, BUT it’s not…
Over the weekend I was babysitting my granddaughters and they wanted to go to Booster Juice. I thought this was great, not asking to go to McDonald’s haha! So off we went and they each picked their flavour, & of course I decided I should get one too. It was going to be a busy day with the munchkins so I better get my energy stocked up. I chose one that was called High impact with high protein…… I did not feel great all morning long, blotted & gassy. I’m like what the H… I thought this was a good choice, NOT Afterwards I did a check on the ingredients. 26 gr protien, but 70 grams of sugar and full of carbs. NOW I know the why I didn’t feel good. ( I still had a blast all day with my girls) Note to SELF: there is always that wolf in sheep’s clothing 😂. Always do a quick check if this is what you are looking for….
What’s in your cup
I LOVE THIS ANALOGY: You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere. Why did you spill the coffee? "Because someone bumped into me!!!" Wrong answer. You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea. Whatevr is inside the cup is what will spill out. Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled. So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?" When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratitude, peace and humility? Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies? Life provids the cup, YOU choose how to fill it. Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affrmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Welcome 2025
The beginning of a new year brings with it the desire to set goals and reach for new beginnings !! I had big plans to kick start this year with a bang! Well it had other plans for me. As I contracted every tiny human germ (granddaughter’s) possible over the Christmas break, it really took me down. I believe that it was my bodies way of saying, “You don’t need to do it all & you require rest”. So since January 1st I have rested, slept, read, (coughed) and used many boxes of Kleenex! Did I like it, Hell No…. But sometimes our bodies tell us things, and we don’t listen. So it has to revert to harsher measures 😆 Yesterday was my first workout in 2025 and it took me all day to get it all done!! AND that’s ok! Slow and steady, baby steps will get me back in routine ! Life is not a race, but rather a journey! Listen to your body as it really does know what it requires! Happy & Healthy New Year Everyone
