๐ฑ FITMOMS HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Today we discussed discipline, consistency, consecration, and seeking the Lord in every area of our lives.
Your homework is to prayerfully choose either a 10-Day Daniel Discipline or a 21-Day Daniel Discipline. Donโt choose based on what sounds impressiveโchoose based on what the Lord is leading you to do. The goal is not perfection; the goal is obedience, consistency, and commitment.
๐ Daniel said:
โPlease test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.โ โ Daniel 1:12
Daniel and his friends chose discipline over compromise. They trusted God and remained set apart.
Then after the ten days:
๐ โAt the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.โ โ Daniel 1:15
And later Scripture says:
๐ โTo these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning.โ โ Daniel 1:17
Their discipline wasnโt just physicalโit produced spiritual, mental, and intellectual blessings as well.
This challenge is not necessarily about eating only vegetables and drinking only water. It is about asking God what He wants you to surrender, strengthen, or steward for the next 10 or 21 days.
Some examples of disciplines you may choose:
โ
Daily Bible readingโ
Reading Psalm 91 every morning and eveningโ
No sweets or sugary drinksโ
No emotional eatingโ
No social media before prayer timeโ
Prayer walks each dayโ
Drinking more waterโ
Gratitude journalingโ
Daily worship timeโ
No complaining or negative self-talkโ
Going to bed earlierโ
Waking up to spend time with God before checking your phoneโ
Speaking daily declarations over yourself and your family
If you start with 10 days and feel led to continue, you can always extend it for 11 more days and complete the full 21-day challenge.
๐ โWhoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.โ โ Luke 16:10
We also spent time praying Psalm 91 over ourselves, our children, our families, and our loved ones.
One powerful revelation we discussed is that Psalm 91 is not simply a promise we reciteโit is a promise connected to relationship and obedience.
๐ โHe who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.โ โ Psalm 91:1
The promises that followโincluding:
๐ โFor He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.โ โ Psalm 91:11
โare connected to dwelling in Godโs presence, pursuing His will, walking in His ways, and remaining connected to Him. This then, like your phone when you plug it in to charge, CHARGES YOUR ANGELS. When we lack faith or obedienceโ it gets in the way of the Angelโs power.
As we stay in prayer, worship, obedience, consecration, and Godโs Word, we position ourselves under His covering and protection. We want to remain plugged into His Kingdom, His promises, and His purposes.
Letโs continue speaking life, staying in Godโs will, and seeking His face daily.
This challenge is not about legalism. It is about growing closer to God, strengthening spiritual muscles, and allowing Him to build greater discipline in us one faithful step at a time.
๐ โDraw near to God and He will draw near to you.โ โ James 4:8
Remember: Danielโs blessing wasnโt found merely in vegetables and water. It was found in obedience, discipline, and honoring God. The same God who strengthened Daniel can strengthen us.
โค๏ธ Small disciplines practiced daily often produce life-changing transformations.
