Happy Post July 4th Monday! On this first Monday of July I want to encourage you to find one thing that you can do this week to move you closer to your own independence. I'd love to see you make that decision you've been holding back on that you know will move you forward. Make the call. Send the email. Raise your fee. Whatever it is, let's make this Monday the day you decide to intentionally start building your freedom.

Monday is typically one of the most dreaded days if you're still clocking in to an office every week. I want to encourage you to shift your perspective in a way that will support you on your journey to building an income of your own. Look at Monday as the opportunity for you to do things differently than you did last week. Ask yourself: what is the one thing that if you accomplished it by the end of the week, you would feel happy with your progress. It could be a proposal you need to send to someone who expressed interest in working with you. Or even something as small as securing the domain name for your website. Work backwards to the small actions you need to take throughout the week to make it happen, so that when Friday comes around, you're going into the weekend already ahead of where you were last week.

Everyone talks about the fear of leaving the corporate world. The salary you'll miss. The benefits you'll lose. The security you'll give up. But nobody talks about the thing that surprises most people the most.... The moment you realize how much energy you were spending just surviving a life that wasn't aligned with your purpose. When I left the corporate world I was able to give more time to the people and things that meant the most to me. I was able to reclaim my mornings. I was in control of my time. I decided how I was going to spend my day. My energy stopped going toward things that never fulfilled me. And that's the part that is worth more than any salary. I want you to know that your best life isn't behind you. You're building it right now with every decision you make. And I'm right here cheering you on every single step of the journey.
