CROCK POT MAC AND CHEESE
🧀 Creamy Crock Pot Mac & Cheese Ingredients 16 oz elbow macaroni 4 tablespoons butter 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk 2 cups whole milk 4 oz cream cheese, softened 2 large eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon black pepper Directions Cook the macaroni for about 5–6 minutes, just until slightly tender. Drain well. Don’t fully cook it because it will continue cooking in the crock pot. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker. Add the macaroni, butter, cheddar, Colby Jack, cream cheese, evaporated milk, and whole milk. Mix the beaten eggs with the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then stir into the macaroni mixture. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours, stirring once or twice if possible. When the pasta is tender and the cheese is creamy and melted, turn the crock pot to WARM. ⭐ Make it extra good Sprinkle another ½–1 cup shredded cheese over the top during the last 15 minutes and let it melt. Optional add-ins: crispy bacon, diced ham, smoked sausage, pulled chicken, broccoli, or a little hot sauce. Tip: Freshly shredded cheese melts much smoother than bagged pre-shredded cheese.

Is your medicine helping or hurting you?
💊 DID YOU KNOW YOUR MEDICATIONS COULD BE AFFECTING YOUR HEALTH GOALS? 🥗⚖️ You can be eating better, watching portions, moving your body, drinking your water, and doing all the “right” things… and STILL feel like something isn’t adding up. 🤔 Sometimes, medications can be part of the equation. Certain prescriptions can affect things like appetite, weight, blood sugar, fluid retention, digestion, energy levels, sleep, or how your body processes nutrients. And when you’re taking multiple medications, potential interactions and overlapping side effects are worth paying attention to. Doctors and pharmacists have a LOT to keep track of, so don’t be afraid to be your own advocate. Ask questions: 👉 Could this medication affect my weight or appetite? 👉 Does it interact with anything else I take? 👉 Are there foods, vitamins, or supplements I should avoid? 👉 Could one of my symptoms actually be a side effect? 👉 Is this treating the underlying issue—or mainly managing a symptom? And PLEASE—never stop or change a prescription without talking with your doctor or pharmacist first. Optimal eating isn’t just about what’s on your plate. It’s about looking at the WHOLE picture. 💙 Know what you take. Know why you take it. Ask questions. Read the information that comes with it. And make sure ALL of your healthcare providers know everything you’re taking—including supplements. Your health deserves more than a quick fix. It deserves a conversation. 💊🥗💪 #OptimalEating #HealthyLifestyle #KnowYourMedications #HealthAdvocate #AskQuestions #WellnessJourney #EndlessPossibilities

Know the difference
🌿 Stevia leaf extract usually refers to the concentrated sweet compounds extracted from the stevia plant (Stevia rebaudiana). These compounds, called steviol glycosides—such as Reb A—are purified and are much sweeter than sugar. It's an ingredient used to provide sweetness. 🍃 Stevia leaf sweetener is a broader marketing/product term. It can refer to a sweetener made with stevia leaf extract, but the finished product may contain additional ingredients such as erythritol, allulose, dextrose, maltodextrin, or natural flavors. The exact meaning depends on the ingredient list. So if you're comparing two products, don't rely only on "stevia leaf sweetener" on the front. Flip it over and check the actual ingredients. A product marketed as a stevia sweetener isn't necessarily 100% stevia. 🌿 Stevia leaf — dried or powdered whole leaf 💧 Stevia leaf extract — concentrated/purified steviol glycosides 🍃 Stevia sweetener — a finished product that may combine stevia extract with other ingredients The ingredient list is the important part. Two packages can both say "Stevia" prominently on the front while containing very different ingredients.
