Problem of baldness in men, medically referred to as androgenic alopecia (AGA) is far from resolved. Current therapies come with a lot of drawbacks: Either they do not bring the results men expect or they come with severe side effects. The goal of this community is to end baldness. This is an ambitious goal. The goal, that in my opinion hasn't been addressed enough. The amount of suffering around this topic seems to be huge and it involves lowered self-confidence and taking away the choice of looking the way men want to look. I believe self acceptance is important. And I am by no means suggesting that we should beat ourselves up for the condition of our hair. We can even choose to be bald. But my dream is that being bald is just that: a choice. And not the only way to look clean. I think a lot of balding men can relate to the amount of pain of balding, trying to find a remedy. We hope to find a perfect solution but a lot of us fail miserably. This is not a fun game. And I believe the time has come that we gather out power, skills and experience and try to figure out this problem together. This community is for sharing knowledge and experiences in the topic. It's goal is to build a great database of knowledge specialized in this topic that would eventually lead to finding a solution that will help reverse balding in men. Every person willing to contribute to build knowledge models, analyze and propose new solutions is welcome. When the group grows big enough I imagine possible cooperation with medical and pharma organizations that could help us conduct clinical tests and develop a product that would solve the problem of androgenic alopecia permanently. People who contribute the most to the group will have the privilege to access the solution as first. As long as there's a single guy unwillingly walking around with male pattern baldness, we are not done. Let's combine our powers and end baldness together!
