Thought:
Being intentionally mindful in everyday activities like walking, cleaning the house or washing dishes can reduce stress and increase focus. Autopilot makes daily activities mundane. Mindfulness increases your awareness and interest and can also improve what you do.
Action Step:
Pick one routine activity to perform mindfully today, noticing the sensations and movements involved. Consider again your distractions and the things that are battling for your attention and be intentional at focussing on the activity to push those distractions away.
Consider how you can fine tune the activity for improvement. Being intentionally mindful to improve simple activities is good practice that creates a habit of improvement that will positively impact more complicated or important things.
