We are beginning a powerful study on Soteriology, the biblical doctrine of salvation. This is one of the most important subjects every believer should understand because it reveals what Jesus accomplished through His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. Many believers know they are saved, but few fully understand the depth of what salvation provides. This course is designed to help you grow in that understanding and strengthen your confidence in the finished work of Christ. This course contains 10 lessons, and I have currently uploaded the Introduction and Lesson 1: Union with Christ. Scripture Reading Ephesians 2:1-3 NKJV And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, [2] in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, [3] among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. One of the greatest misunderstandings in spiritual warfare is believing the enemy's main objective is only behavior. Behavior is not the enemy's primary TARGET; Identity is. The enemy understands something that most believers have not fully realized yet, and that is, if he can alter the way you see yourself, he can influence the way you live. Do you ever pay attention to the fact that the enemy constantly attacks you in these areas? Worth Purpose Value Calling Sonship Confidence in God The reason is that identity determines function. A person who believes they are defeated will live defeated. A person who believes they are rejected will struggle to receive love. A person who believes they are unworthy will sabotage what God is trying to build. The enemy knows that if he can plant a false identity deeply enough, eventually you will begin to agree with it. A key thing you must keep in mind is that AGREEMENT BECOMES BONDAGE. So lets breakdown the enemy's strategy against our identity; 1. Introduce a False Narrative The enemy begins by whispering lies about who you are. The goal is not emotional damage, it is identity corruption. 2. Attach the Lie to Pain The enemy often uses; Rejection Trauma Failure Abandonment Shame ....to reinforce false identity. Pain becomes the evidence the enemy uses to convince people that the lie is true. EMPOWERED KEY My pain is not prophecy. Just because something hurt you, doesn't mean it defines who you are. 3. Normalize the Lie Eventually, the lie becomes familiar. Instead of believing that you may be under attack, you will start to feel like this is just who you are.

Scripture Reference; James 4:7 NKJV Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. One of the greatest misconceptions believers have about spiritual warfare is that resistance begins with rebuking the devil. But this is the reason why so many are losing the battle. According to the scripture reading, resistance begins with SUBMISSION. SUBMIT to God. RESIST the devil. He will flee. For many people, their warfare is not against the enemy, but it is against their own willingness to submit to the will of God. The authority to resist comes from a life surrendered to God. SUBMISSION IS NOT WEAKNESS SUBMISSION IS ALIGNMENT. When your thoughts, words, desires, and actions come into agreement with God, the enemy loses access to operate in areas where he once had influence. The thing that the enemy fears most is believer who are truly SURRENDERED to Jesus Christ. THE ENEMY'S GOAL IS TERRITORY The enemy wants to gain ground. This is why he looks for places of agreement, fear, compromise, offense, bitterness, insecurity, or unbelief, so that he can gain influence in a person's life. Ephesians 4:27 NKJV "nor give place to the devil." The word Paul uses for place is the Greek word typos. It literally means; A location A Territory A foothold An opportunity A region of influence Notice that Paul doesnt tell us that the devil may take a place, but he emphasizes the importance of giving him NO PLACE. This is important because the enemy can only take what is given to him. Empowered Thought What part of your life are you willing giving the enemy access to? ACCESS IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN ATTACKS So the enemy is look for Doors to enter into. What Doors does he look for? 1. Unforgiveness 2. Fear 3. Lies 4. Passivity 5. Compromise HOW DO I RECLAIM YOUR GROUND? 1. Identify Open Doors Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you; Where have I tolerated what you wanted me to confront? Where have I agreed with Fear? Where have I agreed with insecurity?
