I just wanted to share a little bit of real life from the past couple of daysâŠ
Yesterday we had a really calm morning, then spent the afternoon out with Connor, and last night we were meant to go home, get changed, get ready for a âproperâ date nightâŠ
But we didnât.
We just went as we were.
No pressure to look a certain way, no overthinking it.
Just being together.
We had food, came home, watched a film, and just properly relaxed.
And this morning was the same⊠slow, a bit of a lie in, a cuddle, just easy.
Nothing big or fancy, but it felt really good.
I think whatâs been different this Easter school holiday, is I havenât put loads of pressure on myself to plan everything or make it perfect.
Weâve just gone with the flow.
And actually⊠weâve probably done more, seen more family, and felt more present than usual.
Itâs been a reminder that self-care doesnât always look like routines or big plans.
Sometimes itâs just: slowing things down
lowering expectations
and letting things be enough as they are
Iâd love to knowâŠ
What has self-care actually looked like for you this week?
Not the âperfectâ versionâŠ
just real life đ«¶
