Here's how I hire A players ⬇️ Phase 1: post about it everywhere (email list, socials, top fb groups) + put job posts on linkedin (this has been the best for us and doesn't get shut down. Indeed is weird). Phase 2: Have questions on apps that disqualify immediately. This is one for a "coach" or "account manager." If they don't know how to do it all don't hire em. Hire like you would treat a relationship...good enough doesn't cut it. For account managers they must know sales, ads, marketing, CRM, all of it. Bad hires i've made they only knew a few and they had to rely on us to much. Good hires take work off your plate, not add. example of job application: https://support720802.typeform.com/BusinessCoach Phase 3: Move best looks to interview. Try to scare them away by asking the hard questions. Examples Below. Key thing is NOT to ask yes or no questions. Ask what previous jobs they had and what they did in a day and you'll know what experience they have. If they have no experience doing what you need they are a liability for the team. - Start by saying here’s what we do and our values - Here’s what this role is and what problem you’ll solve - What experience do you have, if any? What jobs have you done and walk me through what you do in a day to day? So what job and then a day to day for those jobs. - Test for culture (what does success look like to you?) - Give them a stress test - ask them a question and how they would solve it - Make sure their goals align with the company goals? - How much would you like to make? - Define what work from home means? - Have CEO do the final interview Phase 4: Test them out. Either give them a task to do or put they on a trial period (keep looking during the trial period). Never hire before you've tested them out. Will save you a lot of money and wasted time. Every mistake i've made I went against this model and my gut. You need people who see the world the same way as you AND have experience. Anything less is NOT an A player.
