September 15 is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a reminder of where we come from—and a chance to think about where we’re going. El Salvador has changed so much in recent years. From security and infrastructure to tourism, investment, technology and new opportunities, there is a different story unfolding. And that's what makes this Independence Day feel especially meaningful. A country can honor its history while still building something completely new. Today, we celebrate the culture, the people, the resilience and the incredible potential of El Salvador. From those celebrating at home 🇸🇻 to the Salvadoran community around the world 🌎— ¡Feliz Día de la Independencia! Because seriously… a LOT has happened in the last 8 years. The country has gone from being known internationally mostly for crime and migration to becoming one of the most talked-about countries in Central America. And look at what’s happening: ✈️ The airport is being expanded and modernized, with plans to increase capacity to millions of passengers a year. 🚢 Port infrastructure is being upgraded, putting more focus on cargo, trade and logistics; which is another passion of mine 🛣️ Roads and highways are being improved, connecting different parts of the country and making transportation easier. 🏄‍♂️ Surf City1 and 2 has completely changed parts of the coastline, bringing tourism, infrastructure and investment with it. 🏨 Hotels and tourism projects are expanding at rapid numbers 💻 Technology and digital infrastructure are becoming a bigger part of the economy. 🏭 Manufacturing and international investment are getting more attention. 🌎 The country is actively trying to attract foreign companies and investment. 🔐 And perhaps the biggest change of all: security. A country that was once associated with extremely high levels of violent crime is now being looked at very differently by tourists, investors and businesses. And here's the part that really interests me... I'm not just interested in whether El Salvador is becoming a better place to visit. I'm interested in what all of this means for business. Better security + better infrastructure + better connectivity + investment + tourism + logistics = a country with more potential than it had 8 years ago. There is still a LOT of work to do. Of course. But if you haven't looked at El Salvador in the last few years... You might be surprised by what you see today. 🇸🇻 And that's exactly what I want to explore with El Salvador Renaissance.

Originally, I was creating content aimed at people who wanted to start a business in El Salvador. But after thinking it through, I realized my experience in logistics gives me a different perspective. Going forward, I want to focus on positioning El Salvador as a strategic expansion hub for existing companies. Instead of asking, "How do you start a business here?" I want to answer questions like: • Why should an established company consider expanding into El Salvador? • What infrastructure is being built? • How is the country's security transformation changing business confidence? • What opportunities exist in logistics, manufacturing, technology, tourism, and investment? • Why are more international companies paying attention? My goal isn't to "sell" El Salvador—it's to provide well-researched, objective content that helps business leaders understand why the country deserves a place in their expansion strategy. I believe there's a real opportunity to become a trusted source of business intelligence on El Salvador, especially by combining my logistics background with market research and economic analysis.
