Boundaries vs. Ultimatums: Protect Your Energy 💡
Setting a boundary is not selfish, it is self-preservation. To keep it simple: An Ultimatum controls SOMEONE ELSE: "If you don't change right now, I'm leaving." (Focus on forcing their behaviour) A boundary controls YOUR actions: "I don't have the emotional capacity for heavy conversations right now, so I am stepping away to rest." (Focus on protecting your peace) Real-Life Boundary Examples: *Rest: "My battery is low tonight, so I’m turning off my phone/skipping plans to sleep." *Emotional Space: "I care about you, but I can't process this right now. Let's pause and talk tomorrow when we're rested." *Respect: "I asked us not to shout. Since we are still shouting, I am stepping out of the room." Healthy relationships do not fear boundaries, they respect them. Real connections feature safety, clear communication, and mutual respect for "no." ❤️

Self Perpetuating - Progress Report
Weekly questions to ask yourself to make sure you are heading in the right direction: 1. What did you do this week that directly strengthened your future professional career? 2. What skill did you intentionally work on this week that a future you must have? 3. What evidence did you build this week that you could point to in an application? 4. What professional habit did you improve or slip on this week—and why? 5. What advocacy, drafting or analysis did you practise this week, even briefly? 6. What experience did you gain this week that moved you closer to your end goal? 7. What feedback (personal or work) did you receive this week, and how will it change your approach? 8. What uncomfortable action did you take this week that stretched you professionally? 9. What decision did you make this week that aligned with the career you are trying to build? 10. If this week were repeated for six months, where would your professional career be heading? #WouldYouRather #SecretsRevealed #PeacefulVibes
