As a community we are determined to help families preserve identity, connect generations and build confidence in their roots.
The Edo Language and Heritage Hub was created out of a deep desire to preserve, promote, and pass on the beautiful Edo (Bini) language, culture, and heritage to future generations.
Today, many Edo children are growing up unable to speak or understand their native language, while many people who marry into Edo families often struggle to connect fully with the language, traditions, and cultural values that make the Edo people unique. As a result, valuable aspects of our identity and heritage risk being lost over time.
This community was established to bridge that gap.

Our mission is to provide a welcoming and engaging learning environment where children, families, heritage learners, and non-Edo spouses can learn to speak Edo confidently, understand its rich history, appreciate its traditions, and develop a deeper connection to the Benin Kingdom's remarkable legacy.
