Frontend Engineer - US - $80,000 - $90,000
Vultr is on a mission to make high-performance cloud infrastructure easy to use, affordable, and locally accessible for enterprises and AI innovators worldwide. With 33 global data center locations, Vultr serves hundreds of thousands of active customers across 185 countries with flexible, scalable Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage solutions. Founded by David Aninowsky and self-funded for over a decade, Vultr has grown into the world's largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company, backed by a December 2024 equity financing round at a $3.5 billion valuation. We're now looking for a highly skilled Frontend Engineer to help shape the future of cloud infrastructure — someone who will play a central role in modernizing our customer-facing control panel while collaborating across engineering teams to build accessible, intuitive UIs for cutting-edge products in storage, cloud native, and GPU computing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and user-focused, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in delivering polished interfaces that delight both prospective and existing customers. In this role, you'll work closely with our design team, product managers, and cross-functional engineers to translate requirements into high-quality frontend solutions, including migrating legacy templates to React and Tailwind CSS as part of a broader control panel modernization. You'll build accessible, user-friendly UIs for new and existing products across storage, cloud native, and GPU infrastructure — as well as non-product areas like compliance — while developing and maintaining our reusable component library using tools like Storybook. Writing clean, well-tested code with frameworks like Jest, troubleshooting frontend issues, and supporting teammates in debugging complex problems will all be part of your day-to-day. You'll also champion best practices in accessibility (WCAG) and performance, and help shape the direction of frontend engineering culture at Vultr. We're looking for someone proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with hands-on professional React experience, comfortable with CSS frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap, familiar with templating languages such as Twig, Pug, or Jinja, and experienced with bundling tools like Webpack. Exposure to backend languages like PHP is a plus, along with strong communication skills and eagerness to grow with a fast-moving team.
