Why this room matters: This is where you LIVE. Where you relax (or try to!). Where family gathers. Let's make it a calm space, not a stressful one.
โฐ Time needed: 75-90 minutes
YOUR CHECKLIST:
๐Ÿ‘‰DECLUTTER (25 min):
โœ… Remove everything that doesn't belong (dishes, laundry, random items)
โœ… Coffee table: Clear completely, keep only 2-3 items
โœ… Side tables: Clear, keep only lamp + 1 useful item
โœ… Toy area: 3 bags (Bin broken toys, Keep favourites, Donate unused)
โœ… Books/magazines: Keep current reading only, recycle rest
โœ… Clear ALL surfaces
๐Ÿ‘‰SURFACES & DUSTING (20 min):
โœ… Dust TV and stand
โœ… Dust all shelves (every single one!)
โœ… Dust picture frames
โœ… Wipe coffee table and side tables
โœ… Wipe light switches
โœ… Dust blinds or wipe down
๐Ÿ‘‰SOFT FURNISHINGS (15 min):
โœ… Plump cushions and arrange neatly
โœ… Fold throws properly
โœ… Remove pet bedding to wash (or vacuum if can't wash)
โœ… Shake out any rugs
๐Ÿ‘‰DEEP CLEAN (15 min):
โœ… Wipe skirting boards (all around room)
โœ… Clean windows
โœ… Clean mirrors
โœ… Wipe door handles
๐Ÿ‘‰FLOORS & FURNITURE (15 min):
โœ… Vacuum under sofa cushions (get in the cracks!)
โœ… Move sofa/chairs and vacuum under
โœ… Vacuum entire room
โœ… Mop if hard floors
