Put it into Practice
You know there are a lot of things that we know are good, but we never put them into practice.
For me, i've recently been cutting down on my screen time. Im not scrolling on Instagram or Facebook and to be honest, it wasn't for the purpose that i'm writing to you about... but i discovered something.
Im feeling REALLY GOOD. When i say really good, its like I got the best sleep of my life, im in such a great mood. I don't know its weird. I haven't been as consistent with not being on social media, but a couple weeks ago I woke up feeling amazing but I did not connect screen time to the improved mood.
Well last night was a normal night. I went to bed etc... but this morning I feel like One Million bucks 🤔
Then I Googled it: "do you feel better when you look at your cell phone screen less?"
Answer:
Cutting down on screen time can indeed make a world of difference. Staring at a cell phone less frequently is widely shown to reduce eye strain, improve sleep quality, and lower stress levels.
Here are a few noticeable benefits of reducing screen time:
  • Better Sleep: The blue light emitted by screens suppresses melatonin. Putting your phone away an hour before bed helps your brain wind down naturally.
  • Reduced Anxiety: Constant notifications and social media feeds keep your brain in a state of high alert. Stepping away can significantly lower stress and FOMO (fear of missing out).
  • Improved Focus: Constant switching between apps trains your brain to have a shorter attention span. Less screen time helps restore your ability to concentrate on tasks for longer periods.
My recommendation is to try it... It works!
