Yesterday I was teaching and something hit me. I’m reading the story of Job and the Bible says He was the Greatest Man in the east. We know Job was rich, but do you realize that God took everything away from the greatest man in the east and then when God wanted he gave him back double?!
Like it’s easy for God. God could do it today- whatever you’re believing for, if He wanted to. God raised Joseph in 24 hours from prisoner to second in command over a Nation.
The problem is not God’s ability, it’s our maturity and our ability to pass the tests to reach those levels. There is always a cost. Nothing comes free.
Jesus has the Name above Every Other Name, but Jesus went lower than any other being.
Job paid an expensive cost for that double portion and even as the book of Job starts we read that he would make sacrifices for his children daily and continually just in case they sinned. Since he had 10 children that means Job was killing 10 animals and that’s a big sacrifice since each animal is producing financial gain, resources and has the potential to reproduce. Job was paying an extraordinary price and cost to be where he was.
The question for you is… Are you willing to pay the cost because God is able.
