Massachusetts laws on abuse
Who would’ve thought that corporal punishment such as slapping a child and making your child do military style exercises until their body gives out. Is legal. Abuse that left bruises could all fall under that umbrella. The abuser is protected. Even after having a lengthy arrest record, having history of abuse, sexual assault and many restraining orders and a child telling police that he was being physically emotionally verbally abused, punched, slapped, kicked.. that such a monster could walk freely. That there would be a bigger fear of a child being torn apart by prosecutors while on the stand testifying while on the stand telling the truth.. …..that fear would be bigger than what’s right… to hold the abuser accountable. The state of Massachusetts has continuously failed to protect its children from their abusive parents. How many more children are we going to lose and put in the line of fire all because of one law that is grossly acknowledged in this day in age, where we all know that corporal punishment is abuse. This law could be easily changed. victims voices are continuously unheard here in Massachusetts. And I am one of them.

Massachusetts laws on abuse
Welcome message 😊
Hello! welcome to a open space for all survivors of domestic violence. What should we discuss next?! What would you like to see for a course!? The first course I’m doing is how to recognizing the signs of violence in this new day and age, because abuse does not look like what it used to look like. learn how to recognize it and all of its new shapes and forms. I love to re educate myself and others on how abuse works and changes over the years.
