Articulate Speaking:✨ Speak Simply: Answer Well
Activity: Have someone ask you random questions, or make a list for yourself. Answer each one in just 1–2 sentences, aiming to be direct and easy to understand.
✅ What to practice:
- Keep it brief: Reply only to what is asked — leave out extra facts or stories unless they are necessary.
- Speak clearly: Use simple words and finish every thought completely, rather than stopping halfway or trailing off.
- Sound confident: Start your answer right away, without using filler words like “um”, “ah”, or “well”.
💡 Example:
❔ “What is your favourite season and why?”
✅ “Autumn is my favourite. I enjoy the mild weather and the beautiful colours of the falling leaves.”
❓ Do you find it harder to keep your answers short or to make sure they are clear? Do you naturally tend to give long replies or short ones?
