We all get it…
👉 Dozens of emails a day
👉 People are constantly trying to get our attention
Managing email is a true art.
💡 Simple System to Prioritize:
1️⃣ Current Clients → Always first
2️⃣ Warm Leads / Referrals → High priority
3️⃣ People You’ve Met → Respond (relationship matters)
4️⃣ Cold Outreach → When time allows
Personally, I try to respond to people I’ve actually met.
Even if I’m not interested…
👉 They could be a future client
👉 Or send a referral my way
Quick story:
I met a business owner who showed interest in my services.
Great!
I followed up… multiple times.
No response.
Later, I saw them again — they said they were still interested but struggling to get leads.
I gave them advice on generating leads… followed up again with additional tactics and strategies to generate more leads.
👉 No response.
At that point…
It’s hard to trust them as a client.
And even harder to refer business to them.
🔑 Moral of the Story:
Respond to your messages.
Even a simple:
“Hey, I’m busy — I’ll follow up later”
Goes a long way.
Communication builds trust.
Silence breaks it.
