Why your sleep is ruining your life.
Sleep is 80% of the solution.
Make things easy for yourself.
Sleep can be ibadah if you change your intention:
“I’m sleeping to be better tomorrow for the sake of Allah.”
Do adhkar before sleeping.
A few key reminders:
• Sleep works in 90-minute cycles
• Aim for 5–6 cycles
• Waking up mid-cycle = groggy mornings
Each cycle has 4 stages:
Light sleep → mind recovery → body recovery → REM (learning & memory)
Your hormones matter:
• Melatonin helps you sleep
• Adrenaline & cortisol wake you up
Inconsistent sleep throws them off.
To wake up feeling good:
☀️ Get sunlight
🏃‍♂️ Move your body
To sleep better:
📌 Keep sleep/wake times consistent
📌 Use a 1-hour sleep range to wake at the end of a cycle
📌 Do a 30-minute wind-down (no phone, journaling, reading, Qur’an etc)
Main takeaways:
Consistency. Right timing. Sunlight + exercise.
Fix your sleep, and a lot of life fixes itself 🌙
