Training Never Ends
One of the biggest mindset shifts in dog training is realizing this: there’s always something new to teach, practice, or refine.
Even when your dog “knows” a skill, we can keep building:
  • Faster recalls
  • Quicker responses to cues
  • Working around higher distractions
  • More calm, confident choices in real life
The cool part? Training doesn’t have to feel like a formal session. You can weave it into everyday moments like:
  • Waiting politely before meals
  • Checking in with you on walks
  • Settling on a mat while you cook
  • Coming when called in the yard
  • Loose leash walking to the car
  • Calm greetings when guests arrive
  • Reinforcing Drop It while playing tug of war (like I was doing with Zeus in the photo.
Training isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, practice, and partnership. 💛
What’s one small way you practiced training this week without even meaning to?
