I build free websites for beauty pros and lose a lot of money
I used to charge $3,000 for a website, but now I charge nothing.
What? Why would I do that?
Well - because I think a website is the most important asset in your business, whether you’re online or in person.
It honestly pisses me off when I go to some of your instagrams and you have a ‘dm to book’ or click to book link that brings me to just a booking app.
Like what are you doing?
You are missing out on so much potential revenue, your business doesn’t look as legit as it could, you can’t send ads to them, and so much more.
I created my first website when I was 11.
I built a fan page for Hilary Duff, because I was absolutely obsessed with her and Lizzie Mcquire.
Ever since then, I’ve been trying to figure out how I can use websites to make money.
I mostly built websites for my personal ideas, but then I started building for other people.
When I worked for Lash Anarchist, Ali the owner pimped me out to her friends to make their sites, and a little side business was born out of that.
That then escalated to me building my own website builder platform much like Squarespace, but built for the beauty industry.
I thought I had landed on a gold mine, as this was a new opportunity and nothing had been done like it before.
The problem I started to run into though, was that it’s really hard for people to make websites themselves.
I was constantly being contacted to help with something, and as a solo entreprenuer, this got to be super overwhelming.
I needed this to be easier, but I didn’t want to get rid of the entire builder because I saw it as a good asset in my online business journey.
So instead of continuing to allow people to build the sites themselves, I decided to take matters Into my own hands and build it for them again.
I couldn’t give up my goal of getting as many beauty pros online as possible, and I’m still doing that to this day.
The fact that I’m willing to make you a website for free shows how important I think having one really is.
So lets talk about the reasons having a website is actually THE most important asset to have in your business, even if you do everything in person:
- More legit
- Digital business card
- Central hub for all offers = more money while you sleep
- Send ads to it
- Get found more in search
- Gain trust, show uniqueness
- So much more...
There are so many more reasons why a website is an asset that you must have if you want to grow your business bigger than it already is.
If you still think it isn’t that important and you’ve been doing just fine.
Go take a look at some of your favorite influencers and brands.
Most of them have websites.
It is an asset that you can continue to grow, add to, and show off throughout the life of your business.
Let’s say you’re an in person service provider that decides they want to start creating online courses for your fellow beauty pros.
You can easily add that to your website to sell, and make online income while you sleep.
If you didn’t have a website, it would be really hard to get someone to buy a course.
Because as I've mentioned before, a website makes you look more legit.
So if you try to sell a course through the dms, its going to be really hard.
A website just gives you the freedom to continue to create while you know you have an asset that continues to bring money, clients, and professionalism into your world.
