So, I just landed my first customer last week. It’s a very simple project, but at least I’m getting paid for it — finally!
I found my client on AirTasker, a platform that helps people get assistance with all kinds of tasks in Australia.
I had to negotiate the price, as the initial offer was quite low. Even though I was competing with other developers, I was confident that my skills were more than enough to complete the work quickly and efficiently.
The customer initially wanted to use some “mystic” frameworks for a simple project that could be done with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I still managed to convince her to let me build it in React — because, why not? 😄
So, thanks to Hayk, I can finally say that I’m earning money through development — and that makes me happy. Just 8 months ago, I was struggling to build a simple JavaScript carousel, and now I’ve landed my first customer. Don’t lose hope, keep grinding, and keep coding!
Cheers !
