Core strength is overrated
I realize that this is somewhat of a heresy these days, but I truly feel after having practice 35 years that strength of the core has very little bearing of whether or not your back will hurt or not Now to be sure, it has value in the overall process of back health, stability and capacity, but when it comes to keeping your back from being in a situation where it’s gonna choose to cause your pain as a warning, sign of problem, strength is not the real indicator The real indicator is frequency of mobility at the L5 S1 junction. They hear me out this area is rich with nerves that responsible mobility that our brain needs to assess where we are in space. If this face did not need to move so regularly, we would not have so many nerves right there. But we do. Furthermore, the joint mile mechanics of L5 and S1 are all aligned for mobility in the sagittal plane, or flexion and extension. So they take all messages move these joints if you sit all day, whether it be a stool, a chair or a car, frequent and consistent flexion and extension, and L5 S1 it’s going to be the key to keeping everything working just right
