Data Governance Coffee Time is happening in 27 days
Intro
Hi everyone,I’m Alain. I work on data governance and AI compliance in regulated environments (GDPR, DORA, AI Act). My current focus is very operational: how organisations move from policies to traceable, auditable practices when AI is used in real workflows (contracts, vendor due diligence, compliance reviews, internal controls). I’m especially interested in practical patterns for logging, evidence, human oversight, and how people make this work without creating excessive overhead. Curious to learn from the community: what have you found most effective to make governance “stick” in day-to-day work, especially when AI enters the picture? Looking forward to learning and contributing. Alain
Introduction
Hi everyone, great to be part of this community! I’m Montse Puiggròs. I’m a computer scientist and I’ve spent more than 15 years working with genomics and health data, mostly in cancer genomics. I really enjoy this field because it is the basis of Precision Medicine that has the enormous potential for improving patients' lives. These days, I’m focused on data integration (dealing with all its challenges) to bring data together, unlock its full potential, and turn it into meaningful insights.

Intro
Hi everyone! I’m Anik Naskar, a Data Engineer based in Queretaro, Mexico. I have a background in Azure and GCP, with a specific focus on Data Governance within Data Mesh architectures. I’ve spent the last few years implementing Unity Catalog, automated audit trails, and complex access control management (RLS/CLS) for enterprise clients like PwC. Excited to be part of the community! My recent work involves integrating Microsoft Purview with Databricks Unity Catalog to create a unified data map. I’ve automated lineage extraction to trace data flow from ADF pipelines down to specific columns in Databricks, ensuring we have a real-time view of our data estate for compliance audits. This has been key in enforcing our data mesh principles by linking business glossary terms directly to our technical assets.
Looking Forward to Learning with You All
