DATA ANALYSIS - DAY 2
In today’s class, Olive guided us through the processes of data preparation, including cleaning, transforming, and loading data. She emphasized the importance of these steps for achieving accurate results, ensuring easy navigation, and maintaining organized data.
We got our hands dirty using the ETL data set, where we performed tasks such as transforming data, replacing values, cleaning, and trimming columns with excess spaces. We also practiced splitting columns by positions and by digits and non-digits. Olive pointed out some potential exam questions while we worked on unpivoting data.
While watching the concluding part of the video from skool, the facilitator explained that while merging creates a new column in the worksheet, appending combines data into a single column.
