Here are some prompts: 🐶 Your dog’s name, age, and breed 💡 What you’re most curious to learn about dog health/nutrition 🍖 What your dog eats right now (kibble, raw, homemade, mix…)? 📷 A picture of you and your pup(s) This isn’t just another group. It’s your trusted space to ask, learn and feel confident you’re making the best choices for your dog ❤️ I’ll introduce myself first so you can see an example 👇 🐶 Rusty, 5 years old, Cavalier King Charles 💡 I’m a certified canine nutritionist and the founder of DAFY. What drives me is simple: too many dogs today don’t make it past 10 or 11 years and that breaks my heart. I believe our dogs deserve so much more. I started DAFY to give dog parents the kind of clear, trustworthy guidance I wish existed years ago - so you don’t have to feel lost in Google searches or biased advice. 🍖 What your dog eats right now: Rusty is currently on a raw diet. 📷 Picture below 👇

Action Task: Your Detox Takeaway
You’ve just seen how your dog’s body already has detox systems and how small choices (air, food, water, cleaners parasite plans) can lighten the load. In the comments, share your #1 takeaway from this lesson: - Something that surprised you, or - Something you’ll look at differently in your dog’s daily life. Reflection is part of learning - your answer may also spark ideas for other dog parents.

Action Task: How Do You Protect Against Parasites?
Every dog’s parasite plan should balance risk of disease with chemical load. In the comments, share: - Where you live (city / rural / high tick area / low tick area). - Whether you currently use flea & tick meds year-round, seasonally or not at all. - One change you might consider after what you’ve just learned (e.g. risk assessment with your vet, seasonal use, natural layering, reducing other chemical exposures). This helps you see if your current plan matches your dog’s real risk - and learn from how others are approaching this.

Action Task: Find a Safer Weed Killer Swap
Roundup and other weed killers often contain glyphosate, one of the biggest outdoor exposures for dogs. Your task: - Look for a weed killer that does NOT contain glyphosate. - Post the product name in the comments so others can see safer options. Together we’ll build a list of safer options, so everyone has go-to alternatives.

Action Task: Scan a Cleaning Product
Take a few minutes to check one product your dog is most exposed to (like floor cleaner, laundry detergent, or an air freshener). If you have the Yuka app (or another label checker), scan it to see the safety rating. If not, just read the label and look for one of these red flags: bleach, ammonia, phenols, formaldehyde, artificial fragrance, or quats. In the comments below, share: - The product you checked. - What you discovered (e.g. “scored poorly on Yuka,” or “contains artificial fragrance,” or “was already pet-safe”). - Whether you’ll keep it or swap it.
