I didn't start in tech. I have a background in literature and a master's in divinity — cybersecurity found me later, and it wasn't easy. I struggled through my first Linux classes not understanding basic concepts, faced layoffs, failed certification attempts, and worked jobs where I felt invisible. What got me through wasn't talent — it was patience, faith, and refusing to quit.
Today I hold certifications including AWS Security, CISA, CEH, CISA, AWS Solutions Architect, aws Security Professional and Microsoft Entra ID, along with a master's in cybersecurity, and I've worked as a Network Engineer, SOC analyst, and InfoSec professional, ISSO, FedRAMP Engineer, etc.
I don't teach to fill seats. I teach so you actually understand the material and walk into this field ready — not just certified, but valuable. If I could go from not knowing an IP address to where I am now, you can too.
