My first automation client was actually completely free
I reached out to a volleyball club owner and offered to automate a small piece of her Google Sheets. No charge.
She saw how much time it saved her and came back asking for a full payment system automation.
That's when I realized something: most people don't know what's possible until they see it working.
If you're trying to land your first client, don't pitch some massive overhaul. Show them one quick win. Let the results do the selling.
Sometimes the best way in is just proving you can help.
