The Easter Bake-Along threads hit 1,136 check-ins this past week with more than 600 yesterday alone. That's a community record.
I am going through the threads now for our weekly recap. You showed up. The bunny breads, the hot cross buns, the braided loaves, the holiday tables, all of it. Whether your bake came out exactly the way you planned or whether it surprised you in ways you didn't expect, you showed up and you baked.
Here's the thing about holiday baking: the people at your table are not judging your crumb. They're tasting something you made, and they know the difference. That bread, even if it didn't open perfectly on the score, even if the bottom was darker than you wanted, still meant something to someone today.
That's not nothing. That's actually everything.
One more thing: if you had a rough bake yesterday, come back to the thread and tell me what happened. Not to commiserate. To troubleshoot. We'll figure out what went sideways and fix it for next time.
Happy Easter to everyone. Whatever your table looked like today, I hope it was full.
