Write something
Random observation: why do so many crochet artists also love writing?
This might sound a bit random, but Iโ€™ve noticed something interesting lately. As Iโ€™ve been connecting with more crochet artists, Iโ€™ve realized that a surprising number of them also enjoy writing. Some write stories, some write patterns, some journal, and some even talk about books theyโ€™ve published or want to publish. Iโ€™m actually new to crochet myself, but Iโ€™ve always loved writing. Seeing this overlap made me curious. It almost feels like crochet and writing attract the same kind of creative mind. So I wanted to ask Do any of you write as well?Have you ever published a book, pattern, or anything online? Or thought about selling written work alongside your crochet? Genuinely curious to hear your experiences ๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿ“–

inspiration in costume creation!!
We went to see Avatar Fire and Ash for a Christmas treat. I was immediately sucked in by the incredible headdress done with this lace stitch and chording. Many aspects of the movie depicted crochet work done by villages by the sea which holds true to where crochet most likely derived. I thought I would share the inspiration and give some thoughts on how fun it would be to create this. Very impressive!

Yes even on a plane.
I travel a lot during my nine to five and there is one blessing about crochet especially with thread. It goes everywhere. My go to flight set up working on designing some beads for one of the upcoming sessions. What is everyone working on?
