March Project: Mandala Shawl
Lord, this project tested my patience. I wanted to challenge myself to design another pattern and learn how to combine stitches and deal with stitch multiples. These are all based on double crochet, which I generally only use for granny squares. I alternated between DC rows, a DC mesh row (DC, ch1, sk st), a DC shell row, and the iris st/double V-st row (2DC, ch1, 2DC).
The longer starting/turning chain helped straighten the base of my triangle, which was curved and wonky in my previous post.
It’s a win. I would make a couple more and would find it meditative now that I know the pattern. 😆
