I am making the extraordinary pentagon cardigan. I am really enjoying the challenge to reshape the front “ that doesn’t align with a sweater”.
If you’re moving from a hexagon to a pentagon, the construction logic changes completely. While a hexagon cardigan uses two large pieces folded into "L" shapes, a pentagon cardigan is typically a modular project using many smaller pentagons joined together.
Because a pentagon has an odd number of sides (5), it doesn't fold into the symmetrical "L" shape needed for the viral "hexi-cardi" method. If you try to fold a pentagon like a hexagon, you'll end up with a shape that doesn't align for a sweater.
How would you do it?
