Experimental crochet…how kids can crochet freestyle without a pattern
In my book ( 2018) I explain how a child wanted to make a blanket for her doll. However
She didn’t know how to keep it flat and she said….oooo look I made a nest!
I also have an absolute beginner project in the book which can be done after they have
learned to make a chain length. I call it Beastie Brooches. (Or hook in anywhere)
Yesterday two children were doing this. The young boy made his Beestie Bear (Alex)
He enjoys making mixed media pictures so he stuck this onto his card.
His older sister had more control and decided it would make a bowl… I said if you put a
handle on it , it would be a basket. She was soooo pleased!
The video is my grandson. ….”whatever it turns out to be”. He made a Light Saber!
