Not all collections should be handled the same way.
First, we need to identify what type of collection we’re dealing with.

• Inaccurate (wrong balance, wrong dates, duplicate)

Your strategy changes depending on the category.
For example:
• Not yours → Identity dispute• Inaccurate → Documentation dispute• Accurate → Strategic negotiation or validation

Many people assume every collection must be paid immediately, but that isn’t always the best first move.
Always understand the reporting details before taking action.
