I keep seeing commercials on TV about forgotten subscriptions. Just like the days in the begining of the internet with dial up subscriptions. You know those AOL floppy disk that were everywhere? If you don't know what a floppy disk is, well you must not have one grey hair on your head. 😎
Every company out there has a subscription model, from online to the local car wash. Why? It's so easy to get your money without you thinking about it. Several compaines won't let you pay month by month anymore, which should be illegal. Amazon was sued by FTC (Federal Trade Commission) over their subscription model. It was too confusing and hard to cancel.
HOW TO CANCEL?
I read an article that I agree with several years back. Cancel and Reorder all your Debt and Credit Cards. When they Ask why say, "I suspect charges are on there I don't want." When the new cards come it, set back up your Apple Pay and Google Pay. Wait for the emails to come in saying, " we were not able to charge your card for the subscription."
THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS!
What ever the email is from, think about how much you use that subscription. More times than not, you will say, "I don't use it that much or not at all." Pick one debt card or bank account to use for ALL subscriptions to make it easier to track in the future.
What's your subscription nightmare story? Everyone has one. Comment below if you dare!
