How niching down made it easy to Start a YouTube channel
I started my first YouTube channel back in 2015
But here's the thing
It failed for 9+ years
Why?
Because I didn't focus on a niche.
I didn't realize it until now, but this gave me a competitive advantage.
"FAILED FOR 9+ YEARS — how is that an advantage?"
When Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb, it took him 9,999 tries. He found 9,999 ways NOT to do it.
You can call me the Thomas Edison of YouTube now.
Everything changed when I niched down.
I was able to post consistently & leverage YouTube to monetize my passion.
Here are 3 ways to start YouTube to help you monetize your passion!
Step 1: Choose Your Calling
- Turn your channel into a Personal Brand
- Share your story while giving value
- Write down 5 problems your dream viewer has
- Write down 5 solutions
- Now you know what videos to make
Step 2: Find Competitors to Model
- List 10 channels you want to be like
- Use them to farm infinite video ideas
- Give people what they want, which helped me get that first bit of traction when I started
Step 3: Record
I used to overthink this part, but I just recorded, acting like I wasn't gonna post the video, but I ended up posting it!
This system makes it feel effortless instead of overwhelming.
Hope this helps you out.
