100K+ Views in 48 hours
One of my little interest that I have always had is video games. I started a Gaming Channel 6 months ago, but it never grew, some videos got 1000 views, some 100 views. I felt stuck. But this weekend I came up with a new style that this niche haven't had yet. So I tried this new format on my Gaming Channel and got over 100K+ views within 48 hours. If you feel like your channel isn't growing or has plateaued - Think outside the box & try a different style that your niche haven't had yet!

Anime Reaction Channels Copyright Strikes
There's a creator business lesson hiding inside the anime reaction channel drama: Short version of what's happening: a wave of anime reaction channels - some with hundreds of thousands of subs - are being copyright struck into oblivion by an automated system acting for Viz Media. The enforcement is genuinely broken (it struck a commentary video containing zero anime footage). But here's the part I found interesting, and it's the part that actually applies to us. Almost every one of these channels runs the same funnel: free YouTube content โ†’ Patreon at $5/month. Some of those Patreons have 25k-100k members. Do that math. The Patreon tiers openly advertise "full uncut reactions." I paid for several to check. They deliver exactly that: 40+ minute posts with the full episode playing. Which means the monetised product is the thing that undermines the legal defence protecting the free product. The funnel and the offer are in direct conflict, and it took years for anyone to pull the thread. Three things I'm taking from it: 1. **Your monetisation can invalidate the defence your free content depends on.** Worth auditing whether your paid tier contradicts the argument your public content relies on. 2. **A single-platform funnel is a single point of failure.** Kill the YouTube channel and the Patreon starves without anyone touching the Patreon. 3. **"Nobody has sued yet" is not a business model.** It's an unpriced risk sitting on your balance sheet. I made a video breaking the whole thing down:

YouTube's Algorithm Updates - My thoughts & Video
Creator Insider dropped a long one with Todd Beauprรฉ (senior director of growth & discovery). I made a video on it, but here's the short version for anyone who doesn't want to sit through it: - 1. It's pull, not push. Nothing happens when you publish. The system fires when a viewer opens the app - it looks at who they are, what they've watched, what device, what time etc. **very personalised** - 2. Stop unchecking ''notify-subscribers'' even if you change your niche - Your subscribers don't decide for everyone. The system can learn a video is flopping with your subs and working with people who've never seen your channel, and act on both separately. - 3. There's no "most important metric" anymore. On a TV, watch time might carry more signal. On mobile, a like might. So anyone selling you THE number is selling you snake oil. - 4. The sidebar stopped being related-videos years ago - it's personalized to the viewer. The #1 place people watch videos from channels they subscribe to is the suggested list on someone else's video. Not the subs feed. - 5. ~90% of your subs skip any given upload. Even people who subscribed and deliberately opened their subs feed. That's the normal baseline. The system is built assuming most of your audience passes and goes hunting for the slice that won't. Watch my full video:
