The Foundation: Creativity as Worship: Invitation response
The Invitation was: What have you been treating as "just a project" that might actually be an assignment?
I've run a little accountability group for people who sell through some of the marketplaces I have dipped my toes into as I explored how to share my creativity. It was born out of isolation and the overwhelming anonymity of open groups. I just realise I called it "little"! The reality is it's not little. It's a way I've been able to support souls. I know who in that group is in bed this week with covid, who had a new job interview this week, who is travelling the path of grief, who has been struggling for months with a huge resource and who will share their weekly tasks religiously, even if they are on vacation. Within it, I've made friends, been pushed to defend my ideas, challenged to come up with content, inspired to make monthly tracker pages and so much more. It's the kind of group I have to ask for permission to pray. A privilege and a sadness for me. I suppose that's why I'm here. I had never labelled my other group an assignment, but it is, with all the positive and negatives that brings. Perhaps I to need a place I can be poured into without stepping into a leadership role?
