Please keep my wife in your prayers. This morning she fell down and broke her lower back. She's in the hospital and they are going to do surgery on her then put her in a nursing home for a couple of weeks. As some of you know according to doctors she only has 3-15 months left and now I'll have less time with her. This isn’t how I expected our last month's together to go.

Lessons From A Childhood Experience Today I am writing from a childhood experience. There are some lessons to be learned here. Lets hear your thoughts on what you get from this lesson. When I was a child me and some friends were out being kids. We were having the time of our lives on someones farm. Climbing tree's, catching crows, squirrels, and rabbits then letting them go free and exploring. You know the kind of things that kids did in the 60's. I was 6 or 7 years old at the time. When it was getting around dinner time we decided to get on our bikes and go home. On the way home we saw 3 buzzards gorging themselves on road kill. We felt sorry for the dead deer that was hit by a car and now was being eaten by the buzzards. We got off of our bikes to watch this event. We watched how they had their heads inside of the body. They didn't even know we were there. All of a sudden a truck comes barreling down the road and hits the deer killing all 3 of the buzzards. They were so involved in their gorging that they neither saw or heard the oncoming truck. We learned some valuable lessons that day. 1. Greed and gluttony are dangerous companions. They are habits that will ruin your character. 2. Not being aware of your surroundings can kill you or get you killed. 3. If you stop to watch nature in action you might be late for dinner to find that your brothers and sisters ate what was for you but it is well worth it. By the way I did keep a couple of rabbits that we caught and my mom baked them with squash, carrots, and potatoes. I ate one and our dog ate the other. 4. Take time to look around to see where you are at and where your going or what's coming your way. My mom taught me this lesson after sharing this experience with her. Written by Bear Warrior Gonzales
